What NJ Gov. Christie did to elicit the wrath of Cher

Posted

Count pop icon Cher among those unhappy with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie’s pig veto.

The singer unleashed a tirade on Twitter, calling Christie a “despicable bully” who can forget about being president.

Christie rejected a bill that would have banned the use of gestation crates to house pregnant pigs.

He argues it wouldn’t have much effect in New Jersey since the state only has a few pig farms.

The crates are used widely in Iowa — the nation’s top pork producer and an important state for anyone seeking a presidential nomination.
