HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — Henrico High School announced they will be closed for students again on Thursday, Nov. 20, due to the power outage that occurred on Tuesday.
All teachers and staff were instructed to report to the school on time Thursday. Staffers will be sheltered in the “new” areas of the school such as the library and atrium, which do have electricity and heat.
The power outage occurred when a contractor working on the renovation struck a line that feeds into an electrical panel, Jenks explained.
Henrico High School students were dismissed at 1 p.m. Tuesday after the power outage knocked out heat, phone and internet access to the high school.
