UPDATE: Elli Sue Ingold, 6, was safely located near St. Louis. Her father was taken into custody, Lewis & Clark County Undersheriff Dave Rau said.
RICHMOND, Va. — Police around the country are looking for a Montana girl considered missing and endangered. The child, six-year-old Elli Sue Ingold, may be on her way to the Richmond-area, investigators said.
Investigators in Montana said Ingold was taken by her non-custodial father Robert Ingold. She might be in the custody of Autumn and Zakariah Ingold. The child was last spotted in St. Louis, Missouri.
Lewis & Clark County Undersheriff Dave Rau said Richmond was mentioned in the alert because Ingold has a family connection in the area. Investigators have not yet said which part of Richmond (the city, Henrico, Chesterfield, etc.) the child might be.
Ingold is 3 feet 6 inches tall. She weighs 60 pounds. The child underwent open heart surgery and uses a pace maker. She also needs medication.
An AMBER Alert was not issued for Ingold, instead investigators issued a Missing and Endangered Person Advisory.
Anyone with information about the missing child was asked to call the Lewis & Clark County Sheriff Office at 406-442-7883.
This is a developing story.
