RICHMOND, Va. — Three men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a Richmond man who was found shot to death outside a Southside apartment complex in October.
Detectives are crediting the U.S. Marshals Service with nabbing the suspects.
Richmond police said that 19-year-old Christopher Burch, of the 3000 block of Enslow Avenue, was arrested Thursday afternoon in Orange County, Florida, by the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force, which worked closely with the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force in Richmond. Burch was charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
Twenty-year-old Bobby Lee Harris, of the 1500 block of Blair Street, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force on Nov. 5 and charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
Additionally, 36-year-old Timothy O’Neal Bullock, of the 3200 block of Woodrow Avenue, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force on Oct. 29 and indicted for murder and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony on Nov. 5.
All three men were charged in connection with the murder of 24-year-old Darius C. Artis, of the 600 block of Warwick Village Drive, on Oct. 19.
That’s when officers were dispatched to a report of a person down around 8:46 p.m. Detectives also said police had received several calls about random gunfire around the same time.
When officers arrived to the 600 block of Warick Village Drive, they discovered Artis fatally wounded.
