RICHMOND, Va. -- Virginia State Police are looking for the driver of a dark-colored sedan responsible for a four-car crash that killed one driver and shut down Interstate 95 south for about five hours Sunday.

The crash happened about midnight on I-95 south near I-64 west when the driver of the sedan hit an SUV, sending the SUV into the jersey wall.  The SUV hit the wall and came to a stop in the center lane of I-95. The driver, Alexandra Geary, 20, of Centerville, survived the crash.

William Presley IV, 25, of Petersburg, was killed when his vehicle struck Geary's SUV and then was struck by another vehicle, driven by 21-Naweed Khan of Glen Allen. The driver of the dark-colored sedan left the scene of the crash.

Four people were taken to VCU Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

State Police closed the interstate to investigate and clean up the crash scene. Traffic was backed up for two miles at one point.

All lanes reopened at about 6 a.m.
