RICHMOND, Va. -- Hundreds of people volunteered four hours of their day Saturday for HandsOn Day, sponsored by HandsOn Greater Richmond. Those volunteers took on community service projects in various parts of Central Virginia. The WTVR CBS 6 team of more than 50 people removed invasive plants and vines and planted native species throughout Great Shiplock Park along the James River.
The WTVR CBS 6 team was made up of not only employees, but their families, social media friends and viewers who answered the call to volunteer.
