Millions of people have watched a 3 min commercial produced by the maxi pad brand Always. Why? The message the clip sends has struck a chord with mothers, daughters and others who have seen it.
The clip asks when and why doing something “like a girl” became an insult. Then it shows what doing something “like a girl” really means.
Always is using this clip to launch its #LikeAGirl campaign.
“We’re kicking off an epic battle to make sure that girls everywhere keep their confidence throughout puberty and beyond, and making a start by showing them that doing it #LikeAGirl is an awesome thing,” the brand wrote alongside the YouTube clip.
