GLEN ALLEN, Va – Its shelves stocked full, Glen Allen’s newest beer shop is open for business.
The Wink, also called De Fles Winkle, opened June 6 at 11355 Nuckols Rd. in the Twin Hickory Town Center.
Lou DiCello launched The Wink after signing a five-year lease in April for the 1,200-square-foot space, next door to a Home Team Grill.
De Fles Winkle is Dutch for “the bottle shop.”
A healthcare salesman in his day job, DiCello said he has 500 different items in his shop. There are two beers on tap, and DiCello said he hopes to add more draught lines. The inventory includes about 40 different wines and about 20 ciders.
