UPDATE: The ramp reopened about 3:50 p.m., according to VDOT.
DINWIDDIE COUNTY, Va. - Charges are pending against the driver of a truck that overturned near Route 1 and Interstate 85 in Dinwiddie County. The truck spilled metal on the roadway as a result of the crash.
The driver suffered minor injuries, according to Virginia State Police.
"The ramp from I-85 south to Boydton Plank Rd./Rt. 1 (Exit 63 A) is closed due to a crash," VDOT said. "Drivers are encouraged to use Exit 63 B to access Boydton Plank Rd./Rt. 1. Expect closure to remain in place for several hours for cleanup."
