NEW CANAAN, Conn. (WTVR) – Singer Paul Simon and his wife Edie Brickell were charged with disorderly conduct following a domestic violence incident at their home over the weekend, police in New Canaan, Connecticut told the Hartford Courant.
Both Simon, 72, and Brickell, 48, appeared in court Monday, the Courant reported.
“There was aggressiveness on both sides,” Police Chief Leon Krolikowski told the Courant about the Saturday night incident. “Under Connecticut law we’re obligated to make an arrest because it was domestic violence.”
