HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Two adults and a dog escaped a fire inside a Henrico home Friday night. The fire, which started in the basement of the 10,000-square foot Dryden Lane home, off River Road, was ruled accidental and electrical in nature, according to Henrico Fire spokesman Lt. Danny Rosenbaum.
Fire crews were called to the home at 9:43 p.m. Friday.
“First arriving units made it on scene and reported smoke and fire from a large three-story residence,” Rosenbaum said. “Initial fire attack crews found fire in the basement of the residence. First arriving units were able to keep the fire contained to the original area of origin.”
Henrico Fire marked the situation under control about 10:32 p.m.
“There was moderate fire and smoke damage done to the residence,” Rosenbaum said.
No one was injured.
