Suspect robs Family Dollar, assaults worker

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — Richmond police are asking for the public’s help finding a man who robbed a Family Dollar and beat up an employee.

The crime happened at the Family Dollar at 2917 North Ave. on March 2 around 7:40 p.m.

Surveillance photos show a man walk into the store, assault an employee and rob the business before running off.

The suspect is described as a tall, black male wearing dark jeans, a gray-blue jacket and white sneakers.
