HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A would-be bank robber did not even get out of his Hummer H3 SUV while trying to rob a Henrico bank Tuesday afternoon.
“While seated in the vehicle, the suspect passed a note to the teller demanding money while brandishing a handgun,” Henrico Police spokeswoman Lt. Linda Toney said. “The suspect drove off without obtaining any money.”
The incident happened at the Wells Fargo Bank along the 2400 block of Staples Mill Road about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Police described the suspect as a black male between 40 – 50 years old.
“Henrico County Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the subject responsible for this crime,” Toney said.
