WASHINGTON, D.C. (WTVR) – The Washington Redskins and former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson agreed to a contract early Wednesday morning, according to a report on NFL.com.
Terms of the three-year contract had not yet been disclosed.
Jackson, a free agent, had spent two days in D.C. meeting with team officials.
“ITS GOIN DOWN!! BURGUNDY & GOLD,” Jackson tweeted about the deal early Wednesday morning.
Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III expressed his excitement over his new teammate.
“Very exciting player. Determined to show he is the best and hungry to win. My kinda guy,” Griffin told ESPN.
