CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – The two men charged in connection to the Jan. 23 robbery of the Papa John’s at 9811 Hull Street Road in Chesterfield were arrested after police said they robbed a Pizza Hut in Glen Allen.
“Police obtained warrants for robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony for Aaron M. Jones, 21, and Albert L. Johnson Jr., 19, in relation to the [Papa John’s] robbery,” Chesterfield Police wrote in an email.
“The two men, one of whom was armed, entered the business, walked behind the counter and demanded money. Upon receiving cash, the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle. No one was injured during the incident,” police continued.
Jones and Johnson are both already in Henrico County Jail on robbery and gun charges. The men were arrested earlier this week in Henrico.
“On February 25, 2014 the Pizza Hut in the 9100 block of Staples Mill Rd was robbed at gunpoint by two males wearing masks,” Henrico Police Lt. Todd Alvis wrote in an email. “After receiving cash the suspects fled in a silver vehicle and fired one shot as they fled.”
Police said they arrested Jones, Johnson and a juvenile “a short distance away hiding in the same vehicle.”
“The investigation into other similar robberies is on-going,” police said.
Chesterfield Police said Jones and another man “may have been involved in an attempted robbery of the same Papa John’s on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.”
