RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) — Police are investigating an accidental shooting that wounded an officer in Richmond.
It happened around a.m. Thursday near VCU Medical Center.
Richmond police said two state corrections officers were transporting an inmate when one of their guns accidentally went off and the other officer was wounded.
That officer was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are investigating the shooting.
