FARMVILLE, Va. (WTVR) -Longwood University Police are investigating the death of a student. Fitzhugh Gordon Samuel was found dead in his off-campus apartment at Lancer Park.
“At this time, the cause of death is unclear, but there is no evidence of foul play,” Longwood President W. Taylor Reveley wrote in a statement. “Our heartfelt condolences go out to Fitz’s family and friends.”
Samuel was a senior theatre major from Falls Church, Va.
