CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – The exit ramp from 895 westbound to I-95 southbound is closed in Chesterfield due to a truck crash, according to Virginia State Police.
“The crash occurred when the driver of a 2007 Hino Box Truck ran off the right side of the roadway. The box truck struck the jersey wall and overturned coming to rest onto the passenger side,” Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Thomas Molnar wrote in an email. “Clean-up crews will need to offload approximately 1,000 pounds of ice the truck was hauling before up-righting the box truck.”
The 47-year-old driver suffered minor injuries in the crash which was reported about 10:20 a.m.
Charges are pending as the investigation continue, Sgt. Molnar said.
