Rain will exit this morning, moving east of the metro by 8 a.m. The last of the showers will still be around east and southeast of Richmond through mid to late morning. While there could be leftover sprinkles or light showers early in the races, the balance will be mainly dry and fairly cool. The ground will still be a bit wet from the overnight and early morning rainfall.
Clouds will be slow to break up through midday. It will be much milder than previous mornings with race temperatures starting off close to 50°. Winds will be light and variable. Temperatures will gradually get close to 60° by around 1 p.m.
