RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Bill Clinton was not the only big name politician from the 1990s in Richmond over the weekend. Former U.S. Speaker of the House and current CNN Crossfire host Newt Gingrich was spotted too.
Gingrich, who unsuccessfully ran for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012, was seen at Rare Olde Times Irish Pub in Henrico County Friday night.
He was in town to sign books at Fountain Bookstore in Shockoe Slip Saturday morning, according to his website.
While in Richmond, Gingrich and his wife tweeted they visited historic St. John’s Church.
His wife even posted a photo in Instagram.
