RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – With drier, cooler Canadian air continuing to settle into central Virginia, we’ll have our coldest night of Autumn Friday night into Saturday morning.
A FREEZE WARNING is in effect tonight into mid-morning Saturday for all of central Virginia (except the Peninsulas).
This will be a killing freeze for tender vegetation! Drape a sheet over your plants to protect them. Also, begin your Fall/Winter habit of making sure your pets and outdoor animals have safe, warm shelter. Also make sure their water bowls don’t freeze, and give them extra food or treats (because animals burn more calories in cold weather).
