Police make arrest in Sunday’s Richmond shooting

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)–Early Sunday, just after midnight, Richmond Police officers responded to a call for random gunfire off Broad Rock Boulevard.

Police found Danyale K. Herring, 24, inside a residence, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.  He was taken to the hospital, but passed away almost 24 hours later.

Friday police announced that they had David Dupree, 40, of the 2200 block of North 28th Street, in custody. He has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder in the death of Herring.
