RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – A Richmond man shot inside a home on Broad Rock Boulevard has died, according to Richmond Police.
“At approximately 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8, officers received calls for random gunfire and a person shot in the 2800 block of Broad Rock Boulevard,” Richmond Police wrote in a media advisory. “Officers arrived on scene within minutes and found Danyale K. Herring, 24, inside a residence in the 2800 block of Broad Rock Boulevard, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital, but succumbed to his injuries early Monday morning.”
Police added investigators do not believe Herring was a random victim of violence. Police asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers (804) 780-1000.
