CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WTVR) — Crews extinguished a house fire that sent one person to the hospital Wednesday afternoon in Chesterfield.
The fire broke out in the 13900 block of North Point Road around 5:20 p.m.
When fire crews arrived, they spotted smoke coming from the home.
Firefighters rescued one person, who was rushed to Chippenham Hospital. The victim was listed in critical condition at last check.
Officials said it appears the fire started in home’s family room.
Fire marshals are investigating what sparked the blaze.
