Redskins say ‘plan accordingly’ for Fan Appreciation Day

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The Washington Redskins expect more than 20,000 fans to attend Fan Appreciation Day this Saturday in Richmond. The team is encouraging fans to “plan accordingly” for the large crowd.

Extra parking is available for fans who plan to attend Fan Appreciation Day.

The Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center will open to fans at 9 a.m.. Around noon,  fans will be allowed to take player pictures and get autographs. The Redskins plan to practice around 1 p.m. Players will be available for pictures and autographs again after practice.

More than 25,000 fans attended Fan Appreciation Day in 2012. Nearly 30,000 fans attended the event in 2011, the team said.
