HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A portion of Pole Green Road is expected to be closed several hours after a tractor-trailer broke between Walnut Grove and Williamsville Roads, according to the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office.
Hanover Lt. Chris Whitley said there is a tow truck on scene, but the truck had to be unloaded before it could be moved. We’re told the truck was hauling manhole covers.
The afternoon commute could be impacted, he warned.
Drivers were encouraged to take Mechanicsville Turnpike (Rt. 360) as an alternative.
