Father, son wanted for money, jewelry, guns thefts

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Deputies in several Virginia and North Carolina counties are looking for a father and son accused of breaking into and stealing from homes.

Robert Ray Davis, 41, and his son Robert Ray Davis II, 22, are on the run, according to of Brunswick County Sheriff Brian Roberts.

The men are accused of breaking into homes in Brunswick County and Mecklenburg County, Virginia and Caswell County and Vance County, North Carolina. Investigators said the men would likely be charged in other counties too.

Investigators said the men picked the locks of homes during the day while homeowners were at work. Once inside the homes, investigators said the men stole money, jewelry and guns.

“This has been a collaborate effort with several of our law enforcement colleagues to find out who these suspect were and to gather enough evidence to bring them to justice,” Sheriff Roberts said in a statement. “The suspects are on the run now but we will hopefully find them soon.”
