CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Chesterfield fire crews extinguished a house fire along the 2900 block of Kingsdale Road. It took crews about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control, according to Chesterfield Fire and EMS spokesman Lt. Jason Elmore. Elmore said no one was home when the fire started about 8:40 Wednesday morning.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The fire damage to the home was significant, Elmore said. He added the woman who lived in the house would stay with family and friends.
