HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – Blasting at a construction site in western Henrico prompted calls to 911 Tuesday afternoon, according to Henrico Fire Capt. Jim Mellon. Mellon said blasting at a construction site at 9954 Mayland Drive is permitted through the end of the month between 8:00 a.m and 5:00 p.m.
Mellon said construction crews are using the blasts to clear rocks. He said both the Henrico Communications Center and Fire Marshal’s office are alerted before each blast.
