COLONIAL HEIGHTS, Va. (WTVR) -- Police are investigating a robbery at a 7-Eleven on the corner of North Boulevard and Sherwood Drive that happened late Sunday night in Colonial Heights.
Sources tell CBS 6 senior reporter Wayne Covil that a man was shot in the face and transported to VCU Medical Center. Police say that "Good Samaritan" entered the store and exchanged shots with the suspected robbers.
Colonial Heights and Chesterfield police are on the scene searching for the suspects, described as black males wearing hoodies.
Additionally, Sherwood Drive has been blocked off while police, along with canine units, search for the suspects.
This is the second robbery that occurred at a 7-Eleven this week.
