HOPEWELL, Va. (WTVR) - Crews responded to a fire at a fourth-story apartment at Kippax Place on 100 S. Kippax Street in Hopewell. Hopewell Fire Capt. Keith Kennedy said no one was hurt in the Monday morning fire.
Investigators are still working to determine what started the fire in the bedroom of the apartment. Kennedy said the apartment sustained major fire damage. He said nearby apartments sustained minor smoke and water damage.
The people burned from the fourth-story apartment will be relocated within the building. Kippax Place falls under the Hopewell Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
