RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) - Even though the Michigan Wolverines won't take the floor for the Final Four until Saturday night, fans of Big Blue already have something to cheer about.
The rat representing the Michigan Wolverines won Thursday's rat basketball game at the Science Museum of Virginia. The winning rat named 'Barbara' scored more points than the rates representing Louisville, Syracuse and Wichita State.
The event not only drew a nice crowd from Central Virginia, but also attracted some basketball fans heading down to Atlanta for the Final Four.

Syracuse University alumni program coordinator Kim Brown (@kimincuse on Twitter) stopped by the museum while on an alumni road trip from upstate New York to Atlanta.
(Full disclosure, I am a Syracuse University grad and while I'm disappointed our rat did not win, I hope the Orange fares much better in the Final Four)
