RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Richmond Police closed an eastbound section of Patterson Avenue near Willow Lawn Friday morning after a series of accidents.

A worker on scene told CBS 6 that four vehicles crashed on what was described as an icy road. The worker said water that spilled from a construction project froze on the roadway. Police have not yet confirmed the cause of the crashes.
The road reopened by 9:15 a.m. Friday.
