RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – In May 2012, President Barack Obama chose VCU as the place to announce his intention to run for re-election. But in March 2013, has the president lost faith in the Rams?
Appearing on ESPN, President Obama picked the Rams to advance past the Round of 64 but that’s all. He chose the Michigan Wolverines to defeat the Rams in the Round of 32.
“This is tough because I love Coach Smart,” the president told ESPN’s Andy Katz. “But I think [Michigan star] Trey Burke and the rest of the crew will be able to overcome VCU.”
The president picked Louisville, Indiana, Florida and Ohio State to reach the Final Four with the Hoosiers defeating the Cardinals in the final game.
VCU fans, don’t lose hope. The president does not have the best record when it comes to picking the Final Four. He has only correctly picked two of the 12 teams that have reached the Final Four over the last three years.
