KING WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – The man whose dog deputies said attacked two children in King William County on Sunday afternoon is now charged with a crime.
King William Sheriff’s Office Animal Control charged Ollie M. Carroll, Jr. with allowing a dog to run at large, according to King William Sheriff Jeff Walton. Animal Control is requesting the dog be declared a “dangerous or vicious dog.”
A court date is set for March 21.
Sheriff Walton said two children, ages eight and nine, were chased by a neighbor’s pit bull Sunday afternoon along Corann Drive in the Oak Springs subdivision.
A neighbor said that the younger girl suffered injuries, and lost a finger.
Animal Control Deputies seized the dog as part of their investigation.
