HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - Fire investigators are working to determine what started an early-morning fire at the Coventry Gardens apartment complex along the 200 block of Newbridge Circle in eastern Henrico.

When Henrico fire crews arrived around 6:15 a.m., they saw flames shooting through the roof of the apartment, Henrico Fire Capt. Jim Mellon said. Mellon said crews brought the fire under control is less than 20 minutes.

"When Henrico Fire crews arrived they found fire on the outside of the apartment that had gotten into the attic," Mellon wrote in an email. "Crews went to work confirming that everyone had gotten out then made an aggressive fire attack in the attic."

No one was hurt as everyone inside the apartment building got out quickly.

The Red Cross will help two people unable to return to their damaged apartment. Seven other people, who evacuated the building, were allowed to return home.
