ROANOKE, Va. (WTVR) -- Central Virginia isn't the only part of the Commonwealth that's dealing with winter weather.
Our friends at WDBJin Roanoke report that rain quickly changed to snow Thursday afternoon in the western part of the state. Snow began falling steadily around 3 p.m. near Roanoke.
Video shows snow accumulation quickly build up on major highways, like Interstates 81, 77 and 64. Those surfaces quickly became snow covered.
