RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – The votes are in and the VCU Rams men’s basketball team is now ranked in the both the USA Today Coaches Poll and the AP poll.
The Rams are now ranked 19 in the coaches polland 22 in the AP poll.
The Rams first entered the coaches poll last week. The team’s appearance in the AP poll this week marks its first AP Top 25 ranking since 1985.
The VCU Rams are now 14-3. The Rams next play Thursday night against Saint Joseph’s.
We caught up with head coach Shaka Smart to get his thoughts on the historic poll for the Rams.
