HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A Blackstone teenager was killed in a car crash Saturday in Montpelier. Andrew Pomfrey died when the car he was traveling in with his family ran into the back of a tractor-trailer that was pulling into a driveway, Hanover County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Chris Whitley said.
The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. near on Clazemont Road near Mountain Road. Pomfrey was in the 2010 Chevy Acadia with his parents and two other children. Everyone but Andrew was wearing a safety belt, Whitley said. Another passenger suffered a broken leg.
Whitley said no charges were expected to be filed in this crash.
