HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) - A multi-vehicle accident slowed traffic on Interstate 64 west between the Glenside and Parham Road exits during the Wednesday morning rush hour.
The accident close the left shoulder, left lane, and center lane. The interstate has since reopened.
Virginia State Police trooper Jeff Hanna said he was conducting a traffic stop when he saw another car skidding towards him.
"We literally dove over the [Jersey] wall just to seek some protection," Hanna said.
Five people were injured in the morning accident. The accident is still under investigation.
