HIGHLAND SPRINGS, Va. (WTVR) - D.J. Johnson has found a knack in winning games on the final play. He did it against Hanover earlier this season and now against Lee-Davis.
Johnson scored on a one-yard touchdown in the third overtime to give the Springers a 19-16 win over Lee-Davis in a game that went back and forth in the second half.
Lee-Davis had a chance to win in the second overtime but running back Jordon Prentiss was stopped on fourth down to keep the game tied.
Highland Springs improved to 7-0 on the year, 4-0 in the Capital. Lee-Davis fell to 4-3, 2-2 in the Capital District.
