RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – Two women face five years in prison after they admitted to their role in a prostitution ring that involved a 13-year-old girl, according to an email from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Whitney Rachell Hayes, 20, and Rachael Michelle Masingene, 20, both of Charlotte, North Carolina, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to transport an individual across state lines for purposes of prostitution.
The women admitted they met the 13-year-old in Miami and encouraged her to come with them to Charlotte. Between March and May 2012, the child lived in various Charlotte-area hotels working as a prostitute with Hayes, Masingene, and their pimp Korey Jermaine Reynolds, the women said.
In May, Henrico Police found the 13-year-old girl in a West End hotel during a prostitution sting.
In July, Reynolds pleaded guilty to Transporting a Minor Across State Lines for Purposes of Prostitution. He faces a minimum sentence of ten years and a maximum sentence of life when he is sentenced in October.
