MILBROOK, Nova Scotia (CNN) – Parts of Nova Scotia are under water today thanks to Tropical Storm Leslie. The weather system unleashed torrential rains and hurricane-force winds across the province before heading out to sea.
Leslie swamped roads, damaged roofs, downed power lines and triggered widespread outages. Some 20-thousand customers were without power Tuesday afternoon.
Many are just happy the storm didn’t blow apart bridges and washout highways like Hurricane Igor did two years ago.
