(WTVR) - A 6.4 and 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck the northwestern part of Iran. At least 180 people died and about 1,300 people are injured.
The U.S. Geological Survey also recorded 17 strong aftershocks. Four villages were destroyed, and another 60 went through heavy damage.
Officials say the number of casualties will most likely increase.
Telephone lines are down and the damage is still being evaluated.
