MONTGOMERY Co., Va. (WTVR) – The wrongful death lawsuit for the mass shootings at Virginia Tech in 2007 has been appealed, according to the Roanoke Times.
Both sides of the case filed paperwork that will send it to the Virginia Supreme Court for review.
In the Fall, three justices will decide whether or not it will be heard by the highest court in the state.
Earlier this year two families with victims in the shooting were each awarded $4 million. That was until the settlement was reduced to $100,000 in June.
