Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins reach agreement

(WTVR) – Robert Griffin III announced via Twitter that he and the Washington Redskins had agreed to a contract.

“Well people….It’s Time to go to Work!!! Off the unemployment line and oh yea HTTR!!!!” – the first round draft pick tweeted Wednesday morning.

The Washington Post reported the four-year, $21-million contract includes a $14 million signing bonus. The Post reported Griffin was expected to sign the deal Wednesday morning before reporting to practice at Redskins Park.

Griffin missed the opening of rookie training camp earlier this week.
