RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR)—A gas leak has forced evacuation of several buildings at Belvidere and Canal Streets, including a Virginia Commonwealth University dormitory.
CBS 6 is on the scene and has confirmed that a contractor hit a gas line. The call for assistance came at 8:30 p.m. on Monday.
The Department of Public Utilities was able to cut the line off. Everything is now back to normal.
