Cahokia, IL (KTVI) — Two teenage girls were shot over a break-up and a posting on Facebook, reported KTVI in St. Louis.

Police did not say what the post said that got the shooting suspect so upset.

One of the victims, 16-year-old girl, was shot in the neck.

According to Cahokia police, the 16 year old and her 17-year-old friend were shot by 18-year-old Amos Bullocks early Sunday morning.

The 17-year-old girl was shot twice in the head. The girls’ identities are not being released.

“He was running behind us, got so close then he pulled the gun,” said one of the victims.

The victim says Bullocks invited them to his home through text messages. She says Bullocks was angry over a Facebook post. After the shooting, she lost track of her friend. She was found three  hours later in a wooded area by a pedestrian.

“I tried to run. He pushed me down. I hit my head on the concrete. The only thing I heard was blow, blow, he shot me in my neck by my butt,” she said.

Now Bullocks, who police say has no prior record, is facing first degree attempted murder and aggravated battery with a fire arm charges. The victim has one message for her friend of four years.

“I love her. I’m not mad at her or nothing. I just want her to pull through,” the shooting victim said.

Amos Bullocks is being held at the St. Clair County Jail. His bond is set at $1 million. More charges are expected in the coming days.
