School bus crash on the interstate, no students on board

PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A school bus and two other vehicles were involved in an accident on Interstate 95 north near mile marker 43 in Prince George County, according to Virginia State Police spokesman Sgt. Thomas Molnar.

Molnar said there were no students on the bus at the time of the accident. One driver, and a passenger on the school bus involved sustained minor injuries and were taken to Southside Regional Medical Center, he said.

The crash occurred when the driver of a 2011 Ford Ranger attempted to make a lane change and hit a 2011 Honda Accord.

Molnar said that the driver of the Ford lost control from the impact and hit the bus. The Ford ran off the interstate and hit the guardrail and several trees.

The driver of the Ford, Abdallah Ihsane, 62,did have on his seatbelt and suffered minor injuries. He has been charged with reckless driving said Molnar.
