SANTA FE, N.M. (CNN) – Veterinarians in New Mexico are working to help a cat named “Meow” that has ballooned to 39-pounds.
The cat’s elderly owner could no longer care for him so he’s at an animal shelter in Santa Fe.
Workers hope to help Meow slim down gradually then find him a home with a loving family.
